Why does Digital Targets develop its own plugins?
We develop our own plugins because we want to make the checks we carry out by hand for clients available to every WordPress website.
Our plugins grow out of our day-to-day work on SEO and GEO projects. What proves itself on client websites and on our own website becomes a feature. 4 principles apply:
- Privacy first: the checks run on your own server, without sending data to third parties.
- Clear guidance: every check shows a traffic light and a concrete suggestion instead of just a number.
- Working together, not replacing: our plugins work with Yoast SEO, Rank Math and SEOPress.
- Multilingual: support for WPML and Polylang from the start.
Who are the plugins for?
The plugins are for businesses, freelancers, agencies and editorial teams that want to prepare their WordPress website for AI search engines.
Agencies and SEO service providers use them to check their clients’ websites, editorial teams and bloggers to check their guides. For multilingual websites, GEO Score shows the score per language. If you prefer personal support, we advise you on AI & GEO and SEO.
Frequently asked questions about our plugins
Are the Digital Targets plugins free?
GEO Score is free, with all 27 checks, the overview, the structured data, the llms.txt and the email report. A Pro version with AI features is in preparation. The free version will remain fully usable for good, including for multilingual websites with WPML or Polylang.
Where can I download GEO Score?
GEO Score is being submitted to the official WordPress.org plugin directory. Publication there is planned as version 1.0. Until then, you can ask to be notified or take part as a beta tester. Simply write to us using the form on this page.
What are the requirements for the plugins?
GEO Score needs WordPress 6.5 or later and PHP 8.1 or later. Multisite is supported, with settings and results per site. An SEO plugin is not required, but GEO Score works with Yoast SEO, Rank Math and SEOPress and uses their structured data.
Do the plugins send data to external services?
No. GEO Score runs entirely on your own server and needs neither an account nor an API key. The only requests go to your own website. There is no tracking and there are no cookies for visitors, and all data is removed when the plugin is deleted.
Can I use GEO Score without WordPress?
Yes, with the free online GEO Score Check. It tests any publicly accessible web page, for example built with Shopify, PrestaShop or custom code, with the same 27 checks and shows the score, 6 areas and the 3 most important improvements. The GEO Score plugin, by contrast, is designed for WordPress and checks every page of a website at once.
